ANNUAL MAINTENANCE OF HO CHI MINH MAUSOLEUM
It is to inform you that due to Annual maintenance Ho chi minh mausoleum complex will be closed from Sep 7th to Nov 6th 2012. Passenger just can not visit inside the Mausoleum these time but they still can visit all other sites of Ho Chi Minh complex include Front of Mausoleum for photos, HCM stilt house, HCM museum and One pillar pagoda as normal.
THE IMPRESSIVE STRUCTURE
Ho Chi Minh mausoleum took 2 years before being inaugrated on August 29th, 1975. The structure is 21.6 meters (70.9 feet) high and 41.2 meters (135.2 feet) wide. The plaza in front of the mausoleum is divided into 240 green squares separated by pathways. The gardens surrounding the mausoleum have nearly 250 different species of plants and flowers, all from different regions of Vietnam.
VISITING RULES
Rules regarding dress and behavior are strictly enforced by staff and guards. Legs must be covered (no shorts or miniskirts). Visitors must be silent, and walk in two lines. Hands must not be in pockets, nor arms crossed. Smoking, drinking, eating, photography, and video taping are also not permitted anywhere inside the mausoleum.
Visitors must keep silent and you will only have a minute to stop in front of the glass enclosure where Uncle Ho lays. He is dressed in his traditional khaki clothes and rubber sandals, and looks as if he is just taking nap.
